Tour Overview
On this one-day tour, you’ll get to see one of the most beautiful temples in the whole of Cambodia and see how villagers live their daily lives on top of the Tonle Sap lake.
Beng Mealea was once a temple located on an ancient highway connected the main temples of Angkor to Preah Khan Kampong Svay. Nowadays, you’ll see some stunning ruins which were designed to look exactly the same as Angkor Wat. Beng Mealea is a large temple, but still dwarfs in size when compared to the world-famous Angkor Wat.
We will also visit Kampong Khleang which is one of the four floating villages located on the Tonle Sap in Siem Reap province. Here you can see how people have built their homes on top of the water. Houses sit on tall stilts and in the dry season some homes can be as high as 15m. In the rainy season you will see homes, schools, markets, and even a clinic all sat on top of the water.
